I remember when this happened to my "baby." She was the same way at the vet's office, giving them kisses while they worked on her, etc. What finally made the dam break and made me start sobbing uncontrollably was when I left the examination room to use the restroom and she strained really hard to turn her head to make sure I was okay wherever I was going. In the middle of all her pain, she was still trying to protect me :o). My girl is nine years old, and it was eight years ago tomorrow that she was hit by a car - today, she is a happy, friendly overgrown puppy that no one in the world would believe is in the "senior dog" classification. Praying for Maddie, that she will have the same results!!!

We prayed for Maddie in children's church today. Poor girl! Just seeing her injuries breaks my heart. We will continue to pray for her and the family.
